Personal life:
The legend was born on Oct 30, 1960, in Lanus, Argentina. Grew up in Villa Fiorito, a slum on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, was named after the proud parents Diego Maradona and Dalma Salvadora franco as "Diego Armanda Maradona Franco" who was the first son after four daughters. He had many nicknames Barrilete, Dieguito, El 10, pelsa, El Diez, D10S, "El Pibe de Oro" ("The Golden Kid"), and the most famous of all Hand of God. He got married on Nov 7th, 1984 to Clandia Villafane gave birth to two daughters Dalma and Gianinna. Later had a affair with local woman named Cristiana Sinagra and result of it is Diego Jr. Diego Maradona again became father after his long-time partner Veronica Ojeda gave birth to a baby boy who has been named Diego Fernando Maradona Ojeda. A girl named Jana Maradona offspring of a relationship with an Argentine woman.
Career and Achievements:
Maradona is recognized as one of the greatest ever footballers to have played the game. Maradona is truly a legend. Inspite of being poor the star started his professional career at the age of 16 for Argentinos Juniors on 20 Oct 1976 wearing a 16-number jersey. Maradona first goal was against Marplatense team San Lorenzo under the jersey of Argentine Primera División on 14 November 1976 and became the youngest player in history of the Primera División. Maradona has won just One title in the Argentine domestic league under Boca Juniors after securing a point against Racing Club.
Maradona played for Four World cups i.e.., 1982, 1986, 1990 and 1994 as Attacking Mid Fielder or as a Second striker. One of his best achievement is he became the first Barcelona player to be applauded by archrival Real Madrid fans.
In 1986 he captained and won World cup for Argentina over West Germany.

- Became the coach of Club de Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata 2019 to 2020
He played for the main clubs like FC Barcelona, Argentinos Juniors and Boca Juniors, Napoli, Sevilla, Newell's Old Boys. He is famous for "The hand of God" a goal that he scored in Argentina v England during the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Maradona's net worth is estimated at $100,000 (£75,000).
Drug abuse: Maradona had a past of using drugs mainly cocaine in Barcelona which had a impact on his football career while playing for Napoli. The star had many health-related issues.
Death: Maradona died of a heart attack at the age of 60 at his home in Tigre on 25th Nov 2020. He underwent a subdural hematoma surgery and got discharged few days before his death. Even in the past there were several rumours about his health, which including three false claims of his death. But this time those rumours turned out to be true. ☹

Yes, indeed Maradona is a legend not only by words but by actions too. Being a boy from poor family he started pursuing his dreams of becoming a football player and earning utmost respect from every corner of the world. He again set a example to many by quitting drugs and alcohol and being a inspiration to many. Every star has to fade someday or the other. His achievements speaks more than this blog.
